Thomas Mayo

Thomas Mayo is a letterpress printmaker based in the Cotswolds. He creates a wide range of bespoke typographic prints. He also crafts his own printing blocks from wood, using a variety of newfangled techniques which are used within his work and collaborations with other designers.

He recently collaborated with designer and printmaker Anthony Burrill, and Split's Oli Bentley, to create the modular type system Brico for the People Powered Press.

He has worked with clients such as Jameson Whiskey, Marks & Spencer and Transport for London, with his most recent work permanently installed at London’s Farringdon underground station. Thomas has an MA from the University of Gloucestershire in Visual Communication and is a Brother of The Art Workers Guild.
