Come learn the ancient craft of papermaking with hand papermaker, Phylecia Sutherland.

During this hands-on workshop, you will be introduced to different fibres, how pulp is made, learn about the tools and equipment used to form sheets and put this art to practice making your very own paper.

Each participant will have their own vat and workspace to make paper using a mould and deckle. You will shape and press your own sheets of paper, ready for drying.

You will leave the class having gained knowledge of the papermaking process, sheet forming experience and learned about the other creative possibilities with paper.

Join us and experience the joy of papermaking!

Tickets include all equipment and materials to make your own paper (which will be dried and posted to participants after the class); tea/coffee and refreshments.

Please bring an apron if you have one. If you would like to continue your papermaking practice, papermaking supplies may be available to purchase.

(Due to the set up of papermaking, spaces are very limited allowing for a smaller class.)
