Week 2: Colour and Composition

Understand how important colour is in a picture and learn how to compose your own unique and interesting images using still life setups and coloured gels over light.

Jane has been a photographer for 20 years, having completed a degree in Design: Photography she then went on to work as a photographer and trainer in the worldwide branded studio Venture Photography. As well as exploring studio portraiture she also trained photographers from all around the world. After leaving the company and some short time working in design, she decided that teaching was something she wanted to pursue, and so has been teaching photography post 16 education and adults for over 14 years now. She works under the company name of ‘One Last Picture’ taking family photography and educating through workshops. Having exhibited in various local areas her personal work did revolve around abstract environmental photography, but now she is about to explore a new field of work looking at empowering women and telling their stories through the medium of photography.
