We’re celebrating our 5th anniversary by opening the doors to our brand new community gallery and garden space as part of Saltaire Festival.
Join us on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September for cocktails from The Gin Yard, vinyl DJs, and Printing for Peace on the press in collaboration with The Peace Museum.
Exhibitions running throughout the weekend:
The winners and runners up from the Saltaire Festival Poetry Competition
Following another great poetry compition for Saltaire Festival, we will be displaying the best chidren's poems and the winning adult poems in the beautiful outdoor space at Salts Works. They all reflect the theme of Saltaire Seasons.
Photography from Joshua Hart
Joshua Hart is a documentary photographer originally from Leicester, currently based in Bradford. Exploring themes of place, community and identity, his photographic approach is clear and considered.
Letterpress Album Artwork by Oli Bentley
The exhibition will showcase letterpress prints for album artwork created by Oli Bentley of design studio Split, for a host of national and international musicians on the likes of Edition Records, The Leaf Label and Real World Records.
Ed Toomey from Latent Terrain, who has been working incredibly hard on designing and building the garden space, will also be sharing some insights into how to create a drought- tolerant sand garden.
There will also be family friendly activites running throughout the weekend, including printing posters on the press, exploring themes of Peace, in collaboration with The Peace Museum. These posters will be exhibited at The Peace Museum later this year.
We’re looking forward to celebrating with you all!
